Ah that day of cherry picking, delicious and fun eating as much as we wanted, It all started in the morning...
Me and my brother were asleep having no idea where we were going to go until my mum started to wake us up at 6:30 saying we were going CHERRY PICKING!!! We raced out of our slumber and started to get ready while mum packed everything. As soon as we got into the car our smiles faded a little because it was three hours and thirty minutes’ drive! On the way we saw different coloured cows, horses and even saw wild KANGAROOS!!! There were many of them, mainly laying down. Did you know kangaroos are more active after sundown?!
We stopped at the historic Beekeepers Inn so everyone could refresh and so we could see if everyone was here. The Beekeepers Inn is located in Vittoria, Regional New South Wales and was originally established in 1859 to be a first class accommodation for man and horse. Even though our friends got there first we didn’t care. In the Beekeeper’s Inn we saw four rooms with ancient antiques such as agricultural equipment and cutlery that were used in the olden days; there were even some SWORDS!!
Before we got into the car to continue our journey, we walked by a small pond with a gaggle of geese that when we spoke, they opened their beaks as if they were going to tell us something. Continuing our voyage to the farm which is located in Nashdale Regional NSW, me and my brother were listening to the song Wagga Wagga while dancing ridiculously. At last we were there. We took two big buckets to fill with sweet cherries. With our friends we filled a bucket each of mouth-watering cherries. We were sure the big and dark ones were the best. Paying for them we hoped we would come again the next season of cherry time.
